To obtain employment as a business analyst, a person must possess the ability to analyze and interpret information, possess good writing and communication skills, be detail oriented, understand the information technology field, possess problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and under pressure, possess good mathematical and typing skills, and have an interest in the current trends in the information technology industry. Business analysts perform other duties as required. They may communicate with other employees and with customers.
