For the best tasting salad, try combining a veggie tray with a healthy green salad. You can find dozens of delicious recipes for salad greens online and off. When you are preparing the vegetables in a food processor, it is much easier to cut them into smaller pieces so that they have more surface area to absorb the flavors from your salad dressing. For the most authentic taste in a green salad, use a traditional dressing made with olive oil, vinegar, and lemon. If you are feeling adventurous, you can experiment with a variety of recipes for salads with cucumber, bell pepper, tomato, cucumber, and/or mint. While some of these will obviously work regardless of whether you’re pairing it with fish, tuna, or chicken, many of them will also work well if you’re pairing it with pork or turkey. Try grilling baby tomatoes with a slice of flat-shaped red onion; slawing chopped mixed greens with thinly sliced tomatoes and red onions; or using thinly sliced scallions along with thinly sliced red onions, carrots, cucumbers, and shredded softened cheese in a colander to make a delicious and very filling green salad. You can serve this salad with freshly baked bread or crackers, or dig in with a spoon for a full-size meal.
