Ranitidine Lawsuit – Bladder Cancer

In early 2021, a group of researchers from the University of California Davis Medical Center and the University of Nebraska Medical Center decided to look into the effect Ranitidine (Zantac) had on the bladder. While looking into the effect of Ranitidine, they discovered that Ranitidine Lawsuit is one of a number of different medicines that can cause the same problem that bladder cancer does, in that, the urine leaks out at times other than the recommended frequency. In addition to this, the same problem occurs when an elderly patient is taking Ranitidine (Zantac Lawsuit). The group decided that while Ranitidine Lawsuit was okay, they wanted to find out if Ranitidine (Zantac Lawsuit) was causing these problems as a result of long-term use, so that they could file a class action suit against Ranitidine to pay for medical expenses that resulted from these leaks.

After looking into the possibility that Ranitidine Lawsuit may be causing the same problem of bladder leaks as was happening with Zantac Lawsuit, the researchers found that long-term Ranitidine usage can cause changes to the way the bladder works. They found that when the bladder is full and a person drinks a cup of coffee, the coffee flows over the kidneys’ filtering system and goes into the bladder. Over time, the filter system of the bladder gets “burned” by the flow of coffee, and as a result, the liquid is caught up in the urethra of the person. When this liquid reaches the prostate gland, it causes a similar problem, with the prostate releasing liquid onto the bedding of the bladder and causing similar problems.

Zantac Lawsuit Settlements

After investigating Ranitidine Lawsuit further, the researchers noticed that another medication, called Zantac Lawsuit, was causing similar symptoms, which they dubbed “heartburn.” However, when the same medication was added to Ranitidine, there was no change. This prompted the researchers to make a correlation between Ranitidine Lawsuit and heartburn; thus, in order to determine if there might be an association between these two drugs, they ran a correlation study comparing Ranitidine Lawsuit to Zantac Lawsuit. Their results showed a statistically significant increase in heartburn while taking both at the same time. It is unclear how much of this relationship was influenced by Ranitidine Lawsuit, but with such a high percentage of patients reporting that they had severe heartburn after using either drug, it is likely that at least some of the relationship between the two was caused by Ranitidine Lawsuit. This new information could pave the way for more litigation involving Ranitidine Lawsuit and heartburn.
