    Male models sported more feminine looks and more open-necked shirts

    In the early twentieth century, mens fashion reflected a very British aesthetic, with a distinct British influence. The preppy-casual look became a popular trend in the ’80s, and young working class men embraced preppy-casual style. As the decade ended, men began shunning trends from the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s and turned towards minimalism and sporty looks.
